Crafting Up a Storm

It was a stormy night last night with thunder and lightning and it was a bit rainy today for our monthly craft group - just as well we were inside.
We had a great afternoon, meeting Jenny for the first time but missing Justine, Sarajane and Nicola who had other commitments. We made Washi Tape feathers, a gift card holder with envelope, a baroque card using in colours and a lovely card Cased from Shelli.
Below are the projects we made today, I'm not including the supply list, if you can't find a particular item seen here in your catalogue please drop me a line. If ever you want to request a project please let me know, always open to suggestions.

Extravaganza Success

We held the Creative Inkers New Catalogue Extravaganza in Auckland yesterday and for the first time it was a sold out event! The venue was central and offered lots of parking, the staff also did the vacuuming afterwards which was a treat. We had more door prizes than ever, lots of yummy afternoon tea and a grand prize draw of a $150 gift box from Chocolate Boutique kindly donated by Barbara Bicknell.
Then there was the projects, a gift box with tags, a faux patina card, notebook, pen and bookmark and the project I worked on, the double slider card. Our technique was Stylus Embossing which is easy and creates a great effect.

The slider element of the card was a bit tricky to teach but the wow's of delight from the customers when they got it to work was well worth it.

All the projects had a technique focus and were well received and I think the guests enjoyed the day as some have booked their place at the next event already! We'll be starting the planning for the Christmas Extravaganza in the next month or so, I will update you once the details are announced.

Mid Winter Christmas

Two weeks ago we had our craft day in Ararimu at Sarajane’s home. It was a beautiful day when we set off from home, collecting people along the way. When we arrived at Sarajane’s the fire was crackling, there was a lovely table set for lunch and another table for crafting, even a Christmas Tree, how perfect.

We made a gift bag then we were ready for lunch, we each had a tag at our place at the table and the cutlery presented in cute little bottles, such a lovely touch. We were treated to a yummy lamb shank served on mash with a beautiful medley of veges. Wow, it was so good!

Sarajane made the wreath and stamped the candle!

We were quite full but managed to get back to the crafting table to make a card, then we moved back to the lunch table for desert. It was a beautiful Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce, Oh my!! It was so yummy!! Then it was back to the crafting table to finish off the afternoon's projects, I'll post the projects separately.

I think Sarajane out did herself this time, beautiful decorations, and table setting, crackling fire and yummy, yummy food. We had such an amazing day!! Thank you Sarajane.

Can you see yourself at our lunch table? Don't you wish you'd come to our Mid Winter Christmas? You can join our craft group and be treated to a wonderful day like this, just drop me an email.
